The moment Itihasapurana was born - Itihasapurana

From Harry Potter World in New York… to Ramayana flashcards for our children.

Namaste,

A few years ago, our son and daughter-in-law took us to the Harry Potter Museum in New York. My wife and I walked through the exhibits absolutely awestruck — not just by the storytelling, but by the incredible merchandise built around the theme. Simple things, beautifully made, that brought an entire world to life for children and adults.

And a thought struck us like lightning —
If they can do this for Harry Potter, what about our own Itihasa and Puranas?

Our heritage is far richer, deeper, and spiritually nourishing. Why shouldn’t our children grow up surrounded by stories of Rama, Sita, Hanuman, Savitri, Nachiketa, Prahlada — not just wands, cloaks, and owls?

That day, ideas began rolling.
We dreamed of dolls, toys, puzzles, and books from our own epics.

We even tried to make beautifully crafted dolls first — but quickly realised the cost would be high, and our goal was clear:
Every Indian child, rich or poor, must be able to access these stories.

Soon after, on a trip to Muktinath, young mothers told us something simple and profound:

“Flashcards and puzzles — that’s how children learn today.”

That one line sealed it.

From that inspiration, and with Bhagavan’s grace, Itihasapurana was born — to bring our heritage to every home through simple, affordable, beautiful flashcards.

And today, when we see children reading these cards, families bonding, grandparents teaching, and teachers using them in classrooms — we feel grateful. Because this journey started with a question in New York… and came alive in the hearts of Indian children.

Thank you for being part of this mission.
