About Us
Itihasapurana is a labour of love by Sriram Lakshminarayanan, cultural documentarian and trustee of the Rama Bhagavatar Charitable Trust. What began as a small idea—“story in a box”—has grown into a quiet movement to make India’s civilizational wisdom easy to hold, share, and gift.
Sriram and his wife Soumya research, write and publish beautifully illustrated flashcards and books on themes such as the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Nayanmars, Srimad Bhagavatam, Scientists of Ancient Bharat, Shakti Peethas, Hindu kings, freedom fighters, and more. Every set is built on careful reading of primary sources, fact-checked references, and a deep respect for tradition, so that children, parents, teachers, and seekers can all trust what they are learning.
Beyond products, Itihasapurana is also about documenting living heritage—like the 100 Agraharams of Palakkad, temple festivals, elders’ memories, and everyday practices that keep dharma alive in homes and streets.
Proudly non-commercial in spirit, our work is anchored by the Rama Bhagavatar Charitable Trust, which supports initiatives in Carnatic music, Veda rakshanam, and the preservation of Sanatana Dharma.
Whether you encounter Itihasapurana in a classroom, a temple, a library, or a family living room, our hope is the same: to kindle gratitude, curiosity, and pride in the timeless knowledge of Bharat.
Mission Statement
Itihasapurana is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Bharat’s civilisational heritage by bringing the treasures of our epics, traditions, saints, scientists, temples and knowledge systems to children, youth and families. Through authentic research, meaningful storytelling and visually rich learning tools, we inspire curiosity, cultural confidence and a living connection to Sanatana Dharma. Our mission is to help every generation rediscover who we are, where we come from and the timeless values that anchor our nation.
