The Questions We Ask — and the Questions That Matter

The Questions We Ask — and the Questions That Matter - Itihasapurana

Namaste,

Today, we ask children questions like:

  • “What do you want to become?”
  • “What rank did you get?”
  • “What do you want to become?”
  • “Which school?”
  • “Which job?”

We push them to chase marks, medals, seats, and salaries — often forgetting that life asks bigger questions.

Thousands of years ago, the Yaksha asked Yudhishthira questions like:

  • “What is the greatest wonder?”
  • “What is the path?”
  • “What is real wealth?”
  • “What is happiness?”

These questions don’t measure performance — they shape character.

The world tells children: “Be successful.”
Yaksha Prashna whispers: “Be wise.”

Our flashcards bring these questions to the dinner table, prayer corner, and bedtime routine — not as lectures, but little spark-moments that make children think deeper, speak clearer, and feel stronger.

Try asking tonight:

“What makes a person truly wealthy?”
Listen. Smile. Let your child arrive at wisdom on their own.

Because one day, exams will end.
But the questions of life will remain.
