Sugriva
Sugriva was the valiant and noble king of the Vanara (monkey) kingdom, Kishkindha. He was the son of Surya, the Hindu deity of the sun. He was married to Ruma, a beautiful vanara princess. He had a son named Angada, who was a skilled warrior and a wise advisor. He was known for his strength and agility, and he was able to leap great distances. He was also a skilled archer and swordsman. He was a loyal friend of Lord Rama and played a crucial role in the epic's narrative. Sugriva's life was marked by hardships and betrayal. He was ousted from his throne by his brother Vali and sought Rama's help to regain his kingdom. Recognizing Sugriva's honesty and sincerity, Rama formed an alliance with him and together they embarked on a quest to rescue Rama's wife, Sita. He led the vanara army in the search for Sita, and he was instrumental in finding her in Lanka. Sugriva exhibited remarkable leadership skills and unwavering dedication, aiding Rama in the epic battle against Ravana, showcasing his unwavering loyalty and bravery.
